After practicing architecture with large firms such as SOM and John Macsai Associates, Marta DeCapri formed the design/build practice DeCapri Construction Services with her husband. Collectively they comprise more than 60 years of residential design and construction experience. Since 1992 DCS, now known as Decapri Design Services, has maintained a small practice focused on a range of large and small architectural, interior design and construction projects in and around Chicago, performing construction on many of the projects.
The experience gained as an architect/builder has informed Marta's process of design, enabling her to strke a balance between program, budget and design. Marta works with clients to understand the goals of each project and strive for a collaborative design process, identifying the clients needs, then refining ideas to develop solutions that work.
